About Coaching

Coaching uses targeted questions to clarify the issue, create choices, and agree a goal or goals and an achievable action plan to which you are totally committed. At subsequent sessions, we review your progress and agree further goals or actions until you get the outcome(s) you want. Where you need additional resources you help you reach your goals we work out what they are and how you’re going to access them. This then becomes part of your action plan.

Coaching starts with ‘where you are now’, goes on to explore which bits of that are working for you and which bits you’d like to change and enables you to work out how you’re going to do that. It’s very practical, very results focused. Coaching is about helping you clarify issues and expand your choices. The answers to our questions most usually lie within ourselves- and we sometimes need help unlocking them. That’s what coaching does.

Whilst the skills of coaching are relevant to and used in all our work, our coaching clients come to us for variety of reasons including

  • Making decisions about their job or career
  • Achieving better work life balance
  • Planning and completing a major new project whether personal or business

In short, it’s for anyone who wants to improve some aspect of their life.

Coaching can be done face to face or by phone. Most clients choose to pre book a number of sessions and benefit from our ongoing support as they work towards and achieve their goals. Others find that one is enough to get them started and that they have the resources and motivation to carry through by themselves.
